Frozen 2: Josh Gad Teases Sequel As Recording Begins!

Recording for the upcoming Disney film Frozen 2 is officially underway, and in celebration of bringing things back, star Josh Gad shared a tweet with all his followers!

Check out the tweet below:

Of course, Gad will be reprising his role as the endlessly cheerful Olaf, a snowman who loves summer and warm hugs. When we last saw him, he had taken up residence in Arendelle with a personal cloud flurry that helped keep him cool during the warmer seasons.

Frozen first hit theaters back in November of 2013. Immediately, the film was a gigantic hit and a cultural phenomenon, and went on to break $1.2 billion at the box office — no easy feat. Four years later, the movie is still as relevant as its ever been, and a Broadway-bound stage musical is even making the rounds across the country as we speak.

While Disney isn’t exactly known for making sequels to their movies (or at least GOOD sequels), Frozen is one of the few exceptions they seem to be making. If we’re to believe Gad, it sounds like they have a story that’ll really make this second go-around worth it. We have to say, considering how definitively they ended that first one, we’re interested to see where they plan on taking things.
