You can see the poster below. The official image that was released via Empire’s Twitter account shows Sister Irene played by Taissa Farmiga who is one of the main characters in the film.

The Nun takes place in the 1950s where Father Burke, played by Demian Bichir and Sister Irene investigate a mysterious suicide at the covenant. Of course this leads them to Valak at which point we know things will go from bad to worse. Bonne Aarons will be reprising her role as Valak in this film. Talking with MovieWeb about The Nun Hardy said this:
“The period and the setting and the scope of it hark back to really classic, old-school, scarlet-blooded horror films. And I loved that the story was a character-driven mystery as well as a scary horror movie.”
One interesting note about The Conjuring universe is that it’s four films have brought in about $1.2 billion together, which is not bad given that these films don’t have huge budgets. We’ll see tomorrow when the trailer drops what we are in for. Are you looking forward to The Nun? Let us know in the comment section below!
