Man In The High Castle EP Signs First-Look Deal With Amazon

It looks like the folks over at Amazon are happy with how The Man in the High Castle has turned out thus far, if this latest bit of news is any indication. Of course, the show has run for a full three seasons, with a fourth one announced at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. With that news alone, it’s clear that things are going well. But it looks like they want to work even more with Isa Dick Hackett, the executive producer of the show.

A new report from THR is stating that Hackett (who is also the daughter of “Man in the High Castle” short story author Philip K. Dick — who wrote a few more things other than that) has signed a first-look deal with the streaming service. It’s also worth noting that Hackett also went public with a harassment claim against former Amazon top exec Roy Price. Since then, exec Jennifer Salke has taken over, replacing most of the executive heads in the process.

Now, it looks like Amazon and Hackett are still ready to move forward with this new deal that will see her and her production company Electric Shepherd Production develop and produce new projects for Amazon Video Prime. This will include original projects as well as projects based on her father’s stories.

“It’s been my great pleasure getting to know Isa over the last year. I’ve been inspired by her work on The Man in the High Castle and Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams and we’re thrilled that she’ll continue to develop future groundbreaking projects for Amazon Studios,” Salke said.
