If you read the supposed plot description for the latest Ghostbusters film and immediately thought of Stranger Things and IT, you were right on the money.
Variety reports that Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon are being eyed as the two leads in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters.
Finn Wolfhard was, of course, in both Stranger Things and IT, so that’s a little on the nose, but whatever, I guess. The kid is talented.

Sources say the film will focus on a single mom and her family, with Coon playing the single mother and Wolfhard playing her son. There are expected to be one to three other youngsters to be cast, so let’s try to be more creative and not dip into the Stranger Things or IT casts anymore, Sony.
Wolfhard just wrapped Stranger Things 3, hitting Netflix this July. He is also reprising his role in IT: Chapter 2 which will be released in theaters this fall. Man, this kid is making a killing!
Coon was most recently seen in Widows and The Sinner. She also played Proxima Midnight in last summer’s smash hit Avengers: Infinity War, but likely won’t be returning in Endgame. Unless it involves time travel or something… hmmm.
