Pixar’s Onward Trailer: Tom Holland And Chris Pratt Are On A Journey To Save Their Dad…’s Upper Half?

Whenever Pixar decides to make an original film over a sequel, it’s a cause for celebration. With the exception of those amazing Toy Story movies, their sequels tend to fall just a tad short of recapturing the magic of their originals. However, when we saw the first teaser for Onward, I couldn’t help but feel just the slightest bit…underwhelmed. With its modern-ish fantasy setting, it almost felt a bit derivative of Shrek.

But, of course, it’s not just the worlds that we got to Pixar for. It’s the inevitable character arcs that come with it, and while I’m still not 100% sold on the setting, the story of them going on a journey to reclaim the top half of their father is super weird but kind of awesome, and ripe full of potential for some serious tears.
