Avengers 5 May Be A While Away Yet Teases Sebastian Stan

Avengers 5, we all know it’s coming at some point. What form it will take and when we will see it are the only questions left to be answered. Unfortunately, those are the most important questions. All we know is that there will be no Avengers movie until at least late 2022. More likely, Avengers 5 won’t be around till at least 2023.

We know the Marvel Studios slate right up till Captain Marvel 2 in June 2022. Most fans think that one of the other two movies due in 2022 is Blade. The other is more than likely going to be Black Panther 2. Ergo, Avengers 5 would be 2023 at the earliest. Whilst claiming he knows nothing, Marvel star Sebastian Stan thinks it will be a while yet before we see the next Avengers movie. The Winter Soldier actor recently did a live Instagram interview with Variety. Here is what Stan said with regards to Avengers 5, transcript courtesy of ComicBook.com

“Oh I know nothing. You know I know nothing about that. You know, I’m just…I’m just a man.” After laughing, he continued, ”No, I’m trying to…We’ve got to figure out a couple of other missions first before we even get there. I gotta deal with this other person that I have to deal with. It’s been nice to have a break from him. Anthony, Mackie, it’s just been nice to have a little bit of quiet in this quarantine without him. But, we got to figure out some adventures together first before we get there.”

Avengers 5

Of course, this is hardly shocking news, given what we know already. As for his adventure with Anthony Mackie, well, that’s the Falcon and the Winter Soldier Disney+ show. We don’t know all that much about that show, but it will likely deal with Sam taking his place as the new Captain America. If you want to know more about Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and also read where I’d like to see the show go, you can check the related section above.

As for Avengers 5, well who knows? For all we know, both Falcon (Sam) and The Winter Soldier (Bucky) might progress into a movie before we get to Avengers 5? I don’t anticipate that will be the case though. I’m pretty sure that the movie being set up in Falcon and The Winter Soldier is a Thunderbolts movie. I thought of Thunderbolts as more of an Avengers 4.5, or 5.5, but who knows? Maybe the next Avengers movie could be Avengers v Thunderbolts, at this point it’s as good a guess as any of mine.

Will we see Avengers 5 in 2023, or will it be even later? What do you think of Stan’s comments? Leave your thoughts below in the usual spot.
