It seems that yesterday’s rumors of big problems on The Mandalorian are debunked! The rumors were begun by Grace Randolph. I wouldn’t say Randolph is a popular scooper as a lot of fans feel she embellishes genuine info with her own speculation. That’s just what I hear from fans, not necessarily my own opinion. Anyway, here is what Randolph posted that began all this speculation about some big problem with The Mandalorian Season 2.
#Mandalorian S2 Trailer Update – here’s the latest tea:#Disney didn’t like trailer & delayed it to be re-edited.
Also they have problems with the season overall – reshoots but also I hear a BIG problem but no details on that just yet, looking into it…#StarWars pic.twitter.com/jBDHWBP2Ad

Since then we have a series of other reporters debunking this claim. First off I should start with our source here at LRM. LRM‘s source said they’ve “heard nothing outside of standard reshoots,” which were apparently always planned. That’s not a lot to go on I admit, however, there is more. First off we have Jordan Maison who strongly refutes Randolph’s claims. Check it out.
As for this #TheMandalorian thing she's putting out there: Nah.
1) I actually never heard (or seen since) about it being at the NBA game.
2) Heard there were some re-shoots, but to add shots specifically for the trailer.— Jordan Maison (@JordanMaison) September 1, 2020
Then, we have the folks over at KRT. We trust these guys because we know the information we are hearing matches up with their own apart from the odd little detail. Here is what Corey Van Dyke said about Randolph’s rumor.
For what it’s worth, our most reliable sources say that Mando S2 is incredible and that LFL is very happy with it. The trailer has been re-edited to include that new scene that we talked about last week. pic.twitter.com/ZY1aQfmNsB

If that isn’t enough detail for you, let’s add another. This one is from Jeremy Conrad of Star Wars Unity and MCU Cosmic.
I've heard Mando S2 described as "mind blowing". That's not a phrase people use for a season having "BIG problems". pic.twitter.com/cuFQlvOsWi

It’s really hard to side with Randolph on this one, I have to say. This job is usually about weight of evidence, and when you have three very good sources saying this is not true? Plus, LRM‘s source (that we trust 100%) saying they’ve heard nothing about this, well it doesn’t seem to add up? As to what it is Randolph has been hearing, we simply don’t know?
My opinion, (note opinion) is that The Mandalorian Season 2 trailer was delayed due to DC’s marketing push the day before DC FanDome. The Battfleck Returns story alone was enough I feel to give Disney cold feet. However, KRT also say that around two-three weeks ago, a scene was shot of Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka. As you can see from Corey’s post above, they now think this scene will be inserted into the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2.
Everyone seems to be saying The Mandalorian Season 2 is going to be great. The Mandalorian Season 2 was not as affected by Coronavirus to the extent of other productions. Far as we can tell, it seems Mando will be suiting up again this October as planned. However, I guess if there is anything to these rumors it wouldn’t be too long before we hear more. For now, I’m pegging this one as extremely unlikely.
