Seth MacFarlane brings us back our favorite teddy bear, Ted! A prequal from the original Ted franchise. Among the cast is Alanna Ubach, who plays Mrs.Bennett and is taken by a ride with some of Ted’s ribald language. 

The Synopsis

In this comedic prequel event series to the Ted films, it’s 1993, and Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane, “Family Guy“) moment of fame has passed. He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder, “The Purge“), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes, “American Dad!“and Alanna Ubach, “Bombshell“) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham, “Sierra Burgess In A Loser“). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.

During her three decades in the entertainment industry she has worked as an actress, producer and director. As an actress she has left her presence noticed in films like Waiting, the Legally Blond franchise, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Bombshell and voice for Mamá Imelda in Disney’s Pixar, Coco. Recently she has been seen in Euphoria and The Flight Attendant. She was involved in Poolboy: Drowning Out The Fury and August Falls.  A Mi Amor Mi Dulce is a short film she wrote and directed.  Currently one of her pending projects is Legally Blonde 3.

Last month I took part in the press day for Ted and was connected with Alanna Ubach via Zoom. She shared how she prepared for the bostonian accent and of who her 90s look reminded her of. Ubach also spoke about her character as the mother in the Bennett residence and a little bit about the other family members, Ted’s new school phase and more!
