In a turnaround the latest Barside Buzz is that Blade finally has a working draft and looking for a director to film next year. This comes on the heels of the news that Blade was officially removed from the November 2025 slot. To be fair, we all knew that November 2025 was never going to happen. Yet, the news did spark fears from many fans and even some rumors that Blade wouldn’t happen till 2028.
I won’t speak to what the truth of all this is, but the latest rumor comes initially from Daniel RPK. Check it out.
Yes, Ali likes the new draft and they're close to finding a director. It's the MCU film most likely to go into production next year with nothing else as close. So aside from the ones we already have (Cap 4, Thunderbolts, F4) it seems like Spidey and Blade are all that's left for… https://t.co/VMtKFjTy7f

Daniel followed this post up with some speculation on when we may see Blade appear. He suggests some slate shifting to come before Secret Wars. The implication though is clear, that Blade will release before Secret Wars closes out the Multiverse Saga. That does shift the narrative on this film.
Unless they get something into production quickly next year even the February 2026 movie might be off the table.
As for right now best bet is they remove the Feb 2026 spot and put Blade in that Nov spot

Secondly, this new information was backed up by Alex P from TCC. Alex had been previously insistent that this one would not happen until post-Secret Wars. However, he concedes he was incorrect.
Yes. And I misspoke when I said that Blade may have been kept off until the Multiverse Saga. The issue mainly stems from Marvel having kept Blade off their internal schedule LONG before the trades even announced it. https://t.co/KSMUqwNri8

The idea is for Blade is to have a development similar to Doctor Strange when he was introduced to the MCU: Establish him as a character and his corner of the universe in the previous saga so that that corner (in this case the supernatural) is explored heavily in the next saga.

So, word on the street now is that Blade will make his debut in the Multiverse Saga after all. This also makes more sense when we consider some recent rumors that the Midnight Suns movie was being fast tracked to hit post-Secret Wars.
In the meantime, as always take all rumors with a pinch of salt. However, both these leakers have good hit rates, so take that as you will.
