Lews Therin actor Alexander Karim has confirmed he’ll play a voice in Rand’s head in The Wheel of Time Season 3. I’ll try to stay away from spoilers in this article beyond the title itself, but a little tricky with this one. Karim has so far played the previous version of The Dragon from the Age of Legends in brief flashback scenes. However, one of the key themes of the books is that Rand starts to hear Lews voice in his head. The question being, is Lews’ voice real, or is Rand simply going mad like all other male channelers?

To be fair, I was expecting this to perhaps happen even sooner than Season 3. If the show had decided to not go down this route, I think I’d have quit watching. Again, whilst I won’t get into any spoilers for the overall story, I will say that that the question I posed above is central to Rand’s character development. To remove this would have been a horrible choice for the show. Therefore whilst I never imagined they would cut this, to have it confirmed is good news.
Wheel of Time Season 3 is currently rumored to be premiering this Spring on Amazon Prime. However, until a premiere date is confirmed officially, it remains a rumor alone. You can check the trail of evidence for a Spring release if you start by clicking the related link above and working back.
