Oscar Isaac has been confirmed for a Star Wars Celebration appearance at the next event, fans are wondering, is he coming back? Isaac of course played Poe Dameron in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which, well, no one likes. I mean no one likes where it ended up shall we maybe say. The fandom was split on the first two films, but united in their derision of The Rise of Skywalker. That’s the film where Poe has such classic lines as, ‘what, they fly now?’ and ‘somehow, Palpatine has returned.’ Good times, good times.
Anyway, we already know Rey (Daisy Ridley) is coming back, so there has been fans wondering if the other Sequel cast may return? Namely, Finn (Joh Boyega) and Poe (Isaac). I mean everyone else kinda died bar Chewbacca.
Anyway, see the official Star Wars Celebration Insta post Here confirming Isaac’s appearance.

The question is, is Isaac announcing his return alongside Daisy Ridley? Celebration was where she came on stage to say she was coming back. We know the movie that definitely will star Ridley is now being re-written by George Nolfi after several other writers have had a shot. Rumors are the film will now move behind the Shawn Levy’s Star Wars movie. That one we hear is being fast tracked to begin filming later this year. I mean, what’s the point of setting a production start date without a completed script? Hopefully that’s a lesson Lucasfilm has learned.
I also heard a few rumblings that the Rogue Squadron movie could be back on the table, but nothing from a source solid enough to share yet. It was some time ago that was placed on the shelf, but no one every claimed it was completely dead. Is it possible that would be the perfect place for a Poe Dameron return?
Star Wars Celebration takes place in Tokyo this year from April 18 to 20.
What do you think as Oscar Isaac has been confirmed for a Star Wars Celebration appearance, is he coming back? Thoughts below as usual.
