Recent comments from star Charlie Cox panics Marvel fans, only for co-star Vincent D’Onofrio to calm them over Daredevil Season 3 chances. Let’s start with the panic. When we found out about Daredevil: Born Again being the first or Marvel’s yearly TV budget, fans assumed multiple seasons. However, whilst Season 2 is being filmed now, star Charlie Cox gave fans the fear when he indicated Season 2 was the final season of the show.
Cox appeared at Galaxy Con this past weekend and said his favourite thing about this “final season” was getting a costume that’s never been seen before in the comics.
“There’s something that we do in this final season that doesn’t exist in the comics. So it is unique to our show and I’m pretty excited about that.”
You can have a look at Cox’s words yourself in this Instagram link.
As you can imagine fans went into a panic and started wondering if Daredevil: Born Again would just be two seasons and done?

However, Cox’s co-star, who plays the main villain Wilson Fisk Vincent D’Onofrio took to social media calm everyone down a little. As you can see below, the actor tell fans that things are looking good for a Season 3 of the show.
Good chance there will be a third.

I think that just means Marvel aren’t committing to Season 3 until they see how Season 2 comes out. Given the production issues with Season 1, I am hopeful that Season 2 will be a superior all round package. If Season 2 is better than Season 1, then I’m hoping Marvel gives it something like five seasons. However, viewing and subscriber figures will dictate that answer more than critical acclaim I guess.
So what do you think of this whole final season speculation? Will we get a Daredevil: Born Again Season 3? Thoughts below.
