Electronic Arts has officially kicked off a new era of global football gaming with the launch of EA SPORTS FC™ 26, now available on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch™, and the brand-new Nintendo Switch 2™. Fans can also dive in through EA Play, ensuring that the world’s game is more accessible than ever before.
The release comes with a double celebration as EA also rolls out the EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile 26 Update, giving players the chance to experience the franchise’s anniversary event on the go.

What’s New in EA SPORTS FC 26
EA SPORTS FC 26 is introducing its most significant gameplay overhaul to date, guided by community feedback. Players can now choose between two unique presets:
- Authentic Gameplay – delivers the most true-to-football Career Mode experience in the franchise’s history.
- Competitive Gameplay – optimized for Football Ultimate Team™ and Clubs, with refined responsiveness and consistency.
Other additions include:
- New Archetypes inspired by legendary players, adding more individuality to Clubs and Player Career.
- Manager Live Challenges that introduce real-world and alternative football scenarios into Career Mode.
- Football Ultimate Team™ upgrades, featuring Live Events, Tournament modes, and revamped Rivals and Champs competition.
EA SPORTS FC Mobile 26 Update
The mobile side of the franchise isn’t being left behind. The FC Mobile 26 Update packs in upgraded visuals, smoother gameplay, and tactical flexibility with new formations. Over 100 new Star Heads refresh the roster, while the Anniversary Event introduces limited-time fan-voted rewards.

MLS Matches Inside FC Mobile
Celebrations continue tomorrow, September 27, when FC Mobile players can stream live Major League Soccer matches directly inside the game through the new FCM TV portal. Thanks to a simulcast of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, fans can watch a doubleheader featuring:
- Toronto FC vs Inter Miami CF – 1:30 PM PT / 4:30 PM ET
- New York Red Bulls vs NYCFC – 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET
