Laysla De Oliveira continues to play one of the favorite characters in Lioness. Perhaps because “Cruz Manuelos” is one of the few characters we’ve gotten to see who she was before joining the Lioness team. We have seen her grow, not only as a soldier but as a loyal team member that will do anything to find “Joe.” 

The Synopsis

In Season Three, from creator and writer Taylor Sheridan, hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe (Zoe Saldaña) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn’t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life.

Although the Brazilian actress, Laysla De Oliveira was born in Toronto, Canada she made her debut in the Brazilian small screen. In series like The Good Doctor and The Strangers. Then later more internationally from the Netflix series, Locke & Key with her character, Bode Locke. Some of her upcoming projects include Cowboy, Good in the Room, and Dinner Party.

While Laysla de Oliveira is currently filming in Canada she took time to dedicate a press day for Lioness. I was lucky to connect with her via Zoom to discuss what she makes of this third season of the hit series. She also discussed what she hopes for “Cruz” if there is a fourth episode and would love to work with Andy Garcia for one of the Taylor Sheridan franchises and more!
