Galen Walker, one of the producers on the upcoming reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, took to social media last night to announce when we should be expecting to see a teaser. While he was at it, he inadvertently added fuel to those rumors that the film’s title will be shortened to simply Ninja Turtles before it’s release.
Here’s what he posted on his Facebook page:
So eager Ninja Turtles fans will get their fix when they go to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier this April. Then again, do announcements like these really hold water these days? Teasers tend to hit the Internet upon release anyway, so it’s not like the old days where seeing a world premiere teaser for an anticipated project was an added incentive to go see certain movies.
Regardless, now we know that April 4th will be our first opportunity to see the new Turtles in action.
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an upcoming 2014 American action film based on the franchise of the same name. A reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film series, the film is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett and Whoopi Goldberg.”
Are you excited to see what Michael Bay’s production will look like? Or are you feeling a little shell-shocked?
