While Spider-Man may be back at home at Marvel Studios in ther Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sony is still taking full advantage of the character in a completely separate animated film.
At CCXP in Brazil, the studio premiered the brand new trailer for the upcoming flick, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and now it’s hit the internet in all its colorful glory.
Given their hit-or-miss track record — along with their tendency to milk their existing IPs for all they’re worth, it’s been hard to get truly excited about the possibilities for the character. However, this brand new trailer — with all its bright neon colors and unique aesthetic truly makes for a different viewing experience than I think most people would expect. Somehow, they’ve managed to get me excited about the prospect for a new Spider-Man series.
