In this age of tight-lipped secrecy surrounding major tentpole movies, it’s always surprising to see an actor be forthcoming about what to expect in an upcoming project. Dawn of The Planet of The Apes is set to follow-up on the very successful reboot of the Apes franchise, Rise of The Planet of The Apes. The scale of the sequel looks to be impressive, and the addition of veteran Hollywood royalty like Gary Oldman is good to see.
Oldman sat down for a chat with MTV, where he opened up candidly about what we can expect from his character in the film, revealing some major plot elements along the way.
Dawn of The Planet of The Apes is set to release on July 11, 2014. The film is directed by Cloverfield helmer, Matt Reeves, and will also feature Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and Andy Serkis.
