A Ghost Of Tsushima Anime Is Coming From Crunchyroll And PlayStation
If you’re like me, you LOVED the (one time) PlayStation exclusive, Ghost of Tsushima. The story of Jin Sakai’s revenge and defense of his home is an epic tale that is already in development for the big screen (as of Spring 2022), but the series is about to get even more cross media love in the form of an anime!
WHAT
Announced at CES 2025 during Sony’s press conference, the series is a collaborative effort from Crunchyroll, Aniplex, PlayStation Productions, and Sony Music Entertainment. The anime is being billed as an adaptation of the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends multiplayer mode, which is inspired by Japanese folktales and myths.
WHO
Aniplex (Solo Leveling) will be the production studio, with Takanobu Mizuno (Star Wars: Visions- The Duel) taking the Director reins. Additionally, Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) will take on Story Composition, and animation will be done by KAMIKAZE DOUGA (Star Wars: Visions- The Duel).
