Adam Hugill Joins Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness | Barside Buzz
According to a new report, actor Adam Hugill has joined the cast of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The report comes from The Direct who say that Hugill has signed on to play the character Rintrah. Though my Doctor Strange comic knowledge is limited, Rintrah was an extra-dimensional Minotaur. That much I knew, anything else, I had to find out for myself.
Hardly surprising considering we are dealing with Strange here, but Rintrah can travel between dimensions. Considering we are getting into the Multiverse of Madness, perhaps Rintrah becomes an ally of Strange and Wanda? In the comics Rintrah was more of an ally for Strange, so perhaps he will be a mo-cap or prosthetic designed recurring character?
In addition to Wanda, we know that Wong, Mordo, and Christine will all show up with their respective actors reprising the roles. We will also see the debut of America Chavez in the Doctor Strange sequel, played by Xochitil Gomez.

Hugill will not look familiar in the film if the design is anything akin to the comic characters. Rintrah is literally a green furry Minotaur. The outlet also points out that one notable story involving Rintrah had him make repairs to the Cloak of Levitation. Is it possible Rintrah could fill a similar story beat in Multiverse of Madness? Your guess is as good as mine there.
As always with any rumor we take this one with a grain of salt. However The Direct are building a decent reputation at the moment and this feels like genuine information. I have yet to see 1917 which was Hugill’s biggest movie to date, but he seems to be an actor on the rise. It seems the cast of Multiverse of Madness is starting to fill out as filming progresses. Though, I’m still convinced the ultimate villain of the movie will be someone introduced first in WandaVision.
