More potential details about the Thrawn series.
If you’ve been keeping up with our coverage of Star Wars this week, you’ll know that Disney+ will play a huge role in its future. While Star Wars has largely thrived on the big screen, The Mandalorian showed the potential for small screen growth. As such, per our rumor earlier today, we don’t expect to see another live-action Star Wars movie until 2024. But how will the live-action series play out?
As we reported, there will be five shows that make up the Dave Filoni-driven narrative. One of those shows will be one with Ezra and Grand Admiral Thrawn at the center. The outlet Giant Freakin Robot just made out a report that corroborated our rumor surrounding the future of Star Wars on Disney+, but went on to give extra details on the Thrawn series.

According to them, the Thrawn series will be using elements from the beloved Thrawn trilogy of books written by Timothy Zahn. The books in question are Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command. These novels have since been de-canonized by Disney, but as with all things Star Wars, they are still prime for cherry-picking.
Needless to say, many fans will likely be very happy about this, as those books are well-loved. That being said, big changes will likely need to be made if they don’t want to incorporate the original trilogy cast. Either way, Thrawn is a great character to bring into the fold, as he sought to rebuild the Empire after the death of the Emperor. Is it possible that all of this is building toward the creation of the First Order?
As with all rumors, take it with a grain of salt, but this all isn’t too farfetched.
