Agatha Episode 7 Review – My Favourite Thus Far

Time for my Agatha All Along Episode 7 review and frankly this was my favourite episode thus far. As always folks this is a SPOILER FREE review and as such I’ll be vague about specific plot details.

So far, outside of last week’s flashback episode, we’ve had a trial focused on one of the Coven. This week is Lilia’s turn, played wonderfully by Patti Lupone. Now if you’ve been watching along so far Lilia’s character has been wispy/kooky. We’ve seen her have seeming prescient knowledge and yet not recall where it came from.

Did you like the episode with all the time slipping in Loki Season 2? If you did, I think you’re gonna enjoy Episode 7 of Agatha. I love these quirky episodes that mess with the flow of time, it’s a fun distraction and requires you to engage just that bit more with a story. You know some things don’t make sense, but you trust the team making it to get it to work in the end. It’s not a new technique, in fact it’s pretty much a sci-fi staple on TV. Yet, it can be messed up badly. Thankfully, I can report that Agatha nailed it. It also makes some strange moments from earlier episode make a lot of sense.

There’s an added spice to a show I was already enjoying and the emotional core was strong. With us now on penultimate episode I think it’s fair to say I trust the production team will deliver a satisfying finale next week. It seems ridiculously difficult to mess the series up at this point. Honestly Agatha is, alongside Loki, the best written (for TV) shows Marvel has made.

Don’t believe me? Every week I’m seeing Marvel fans who tapped out on this one before it began come back to watching it. Positive word of mouth spreads, someone else gets surprised by how good it is. They tell more people and so on and so forth. At least that’s the way it is going online.

Agatha like the polar opposite of Secret Invasion which had hype and no substance. I was always only half looking forward to Agatha All Along. But, I was surprised by how well it is constructed, and on a TV size budget.

So yeah, loved Episode 7, may favourite to date for sure. And I can’t wait for next week’s finale.

GRADE: A

Best episode of a decent series. Bring on the finale.

As always, share your own Agatha episode 7 review, was it your favourite? Or, let me know how terrible my review for Agatha All Along’s episode 7 was below.
