The sci-fi adventures of Jim Yung continue with Agent Recon.

As a follow-up to 2017’s Agent Intelligence and 2021’s Agent Revelation, the fight with a mysterious threat continues as Yung uses his powers in a secret covert operation in the desert.

The film, a testament to Derek Ting’s multifaceted talent, stars him (Agent Revelation), Marc Singer (The Beastmaster, V), and Chuck Norris (Walker, Texas Ranger). Ting not only stars in the movie but also directed and wrote it, showcasing his creative prowess.

Here is the official synopsis:

A covert military task force tracks a mysterious energy disturbance at a secret base in New Mexico that is suspected of experimenting on alien technology. Once there, the team encounters an unknown being of extraordinary strength and speed, and the ability to control an army of mindless warriors. The trio must fight through the unstoppable hordes to prevent humanity’s demise.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta had the exclusive opportunity to chat with the multi-talented Derek Ting about the next installment of his Agent series. In this insightful interview, we delve into his independent sci-fi feature film, the captivating story of Jim Yung, the exciting addition of Marc Singer and Chuck Norris to the cast, and the intricate stunt choreography.

Derek Ting is an actor, writer, director, and producer of independent films. He began his filmmaking career with Supercapitalist by starring and writing about a young investment banker caught in corporate intrigue. In 2015, he followed up with Always, a romantic drama shot in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Finally, he launched his sci-fi movies, beginning with Agent Intelligence, starring Ting, Carole Weyers, Eric Keitel, and Marikah Cunningham. The sequel Agent Revelation starred with Michael Dorn released in 2021.

Agent Recon releases digitally and On Demand on Friday, June 21^st.
