There has been a fair bit of hype about next week’s episode of Ahsoka. Now it has been revealed that Ahsoka Episode 5 is to be shown in selected theatres next week for those that wish the big screen experience. This would certainly suggest that the events of Episode 5 are important and that Lucasfilm felt it was worthy of generating some extra income through ticket sales. For the rest of us, Ahsoka Episode 5 will drop at the usual time on Disney+. However, if you fancy watching it in a cinema, a little early, here are some details below.

We can’t say for sure what will happen in Episode 5. However, I think we can be very confident the episode will heavily feature Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. Or a version of Anakin, depending on how you look at it. Episode 4 as we know ends with a small tease for next week as Ahsoka awakes after a fall to find herself in the World Between Worlds. Ahsoka, hearing a familiar voice turns to see her former Master standing before her.
There are some rumors we’ve shared before around what may happen next week. We can’t say this is legit, but the sources that revealed these details, (mostly MSW) have a good hit rate. The rumors are that Ahsoka will explore her choices within the WBW, possibly with Anakin as a guide. We’ve heard that Ahsoka will look at the choices she made and see that no mater what decisions she made, the same destiny would befall both Ahsoka and Anakin.

My guess, and that’s all it is, is that Ahsoka will learn to unburden herself of the guilt and anxiety she still feels over Anakin’s fate. Ahsoka already knows from Luke (Book of Boba Fett) how things ended up, but with a bit of guidance from Anakin, I feel like Ahsoka will come out the other end wiser and more powerful than she is now.
Given how it worked for Ezra in Rebels, I could see Ahsoka having to communicate with the Purgill’s in order to get to Sabine. However, again, this is just guess work from me based on how I see the plot forming so far.
I guess the question is, will it be worth to pay an admission fee to go see this one on the big screen. Sadly, we won’t know the answer to that until you turn up, or have already watched it on Disney+. It’s a bit of a leap of faith and not something I would have any interest in myself. Though, it’s not being shown in U.K. theatres, so it’s not like a really had a choice.
What do you think of this news as Ahsoka Episode 5 is to be shown in selected theatres next week? Thoughts below as always.
