Season 5 of Arrow left things off at an odd place, with a Prometheus killing himself and taking out all of Team Arrow in the process — or so we’re led to believe. The reality is, we have no idea who survived the island explosion, and they have a hell of a lot of answers to bring to the table this coming season.

This latest sizzle reel for Arrow Season 6 brings a lot of content, but still eludes some of those big questions in the process. Instead, it really is focuses on Oliver’s increasing difficulty with keeping his identity secret, and with his relationship with his son, who is embittered over Oliver’s alter ego.

Overall, I think this is a good turn for the series. The show is best when it focuses as Oliver as a loner, and while he’s made all sorts of allies and enemies in the process, he does his best work by himself.

After years of denying himself his own life as Oliver Queen in order to be The Arrow, Oliver left Starling City with Felicity and made a home in suburbia. But their newly tranquil lives are upended when an evil new organization, H.I.V.E., takes over the newly-christened Star City. Oliver is forced to don the hood once more…but can he keep his aim as The Arrow without losing the life he has fought so hard to get back?

Arrow Season 6 premieres on the CW this Thursday at 9/8c.
