The tickets are now on sale for Avengers: Endgame Encore and we have the trailer, details of the new extras and the Russos calling it required viewing for Doomsday. September 25th sees Endgame back in theatres, but of course the added spice to get fans back in seats is the extras. Apparently Endgame Encore has extras for fans, but let’s look at what we officially know as per Disney’s press statement. I genuinely think the rumors were a bit more exciting, but false.
“The special Encore presentation of the record-breaking film includes an exclusive look at the highly anticipated December 18 release of Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday.'”
“An additional sneak peek at the film will also be available to audiences who see ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore‘ on IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens.”
Rumors said we were getting an extra 4 minutes of footage within the film itself and then an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday following the feature. If so that’s not represented here. It would not make any sense from a marketing point of view to not reveal this. Thus, we must conclude…?
I’m not sure if that’s enough to get me back at the cinema for a film I have on 4K disk. However, it seems I am not the norm as demand for tickets is bigger than reportedly any re-release in history. The worrying part of this is, what James Cameron will do next to get Avatar back on top?
We do have a new trailer below, however be warned there is zero new footage in this, which now makes sense.

As for what was supposedly in those extra 4 minutes? Well, I won’t get into rumors in a news article. Also plainly they were BS, or they were based on the Doomsday footage coming after.
However, directors the Russos say that the film is “required viewing” before Doomsday arrives in December. Now, they have a bias and they may say a new Schwarma scene is required viewing for all we know. To be fair, Disney could and maybe have got away with an exclusive look at Doomsday at the end and nothing else. The rumors they filmed some news scenes while making Doomsday for this release was/is more attractive. As said though, if this is the case, why not promote this for extra ticket sales. Therefore, I have to assume the base film will be the same, then anything else will come after an inevitable leak online anyway.
