According to new Barside Buzz, Batman: The Brave and the Bold‘s writer is named, plus Andy Muschietti is still directing. The information comes from Jeff Sneider on his latest The Insneider newsletter. Though, other insiders have backed this information for what that’s worth?
According to Sneider, Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, The Flash) is reportedly the writer of The Brave and the Bold. Sneider as already stated says Muschietti is still attached as director and of course the pair already worked together on The Flash. James Gunn, DC Studios co-head had stated back when The Flash was released that he thought it was a great movie.
I’m not sure I’d agree that The Flash was a great film. It had some good ideas certainly, but I’d neither say it was superbly written, nor wonderfully directed. Still, perhaps studio interference created some issues we don’t know about? I guess we have to trust Gunn and Peter Safran’s judgment for now. Though, when the movie comes out, I’ll judge it for myself.

There still seems to be no word on when The Brave and the Bold might progress into production. Perhaps that will depend on Hodson’s script getting final sign off from Gunn and Safran?
Either way, I can’t see any of this being confirmed until there’s something for them to officially say.
What do you think of this rumor that the writer of Batman: The Brave and the Bold is Christina Hodson, with Muschietti still directing? Thoughts below as always.
