According to the latest Marvel Barside Buzz, Battleworld is coming to the MCU and Shawn Levy offered Young Avengers gig. These latest rumors both come from Daniel RPK on Patreon and we’ll start with the biggest one.
RPK claims that any movies that are set to come out between Doomsday and Secret Wars will be either set on Battleworld, or prequels set before Doomsday. If you have never heard of Battelworld, then google the basic plot of the original Secret Wars comic. I don’t have time to explain the entire plot of those comics here. RPK then goes on to theorize what this could mean if Spider-Man 4 ends up set in Battleworld.
However, given what we already know about Spider-Man 4‘s plot, it really does feel like that one would be a prequel, or come out before Doomsday. The plot is rumored to be more street level and feature Mayor Wilson Fisk as the main antagonist, who is out to get all costumed vigilantes. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is also set to appear. The rumor says that this is the plot Feige pushed for over Sony’s alternative ideas. Those Sony ideas were apparently another Multiversal movie with Garfield and Maguire back. Arguably Sony’s idea would work better set between Doomsday and Secret Wars. Yet, I definitely would prefer to see the grounded version rumored.
As for what other movies could be coming between these two Avengers movies? Well right now there is only one movie listed in the official Disney slate. An untitled movie for November 6, 2026. We could look at some of the rumored movies we’ve heard are in development, but pin pointing which ones could happen on Battleworld would be tough. I say pinch of slat on this one for now.

One movie in development for ages has been Young Avengers. It’s never been explicitly announced, but the MCU has been teasing it the whole of Phase 4. Most recent was Kamala Khan seeking out Kate Bishop to start a team at the end of The Marvels.
We’ve also heard rumors that Marvel are very pleased with Deadpool & Wolverine and would like director Shawn Levy to make another film. RPK reports that this is still the case, and one of the pictures he has been offered is Young Avengers.
No problem with Levy coming back, but I wouldn’t choose Young Avengers. So far it really hasn’t felt like a road I’m excited to see the end of, personally. However, maybe that’s just me?
