The Black Adam social media reactions are out. And so far, I am seeing more positive takes than negative. The press who have already managed to see Black Adam are embargoed from writing full reviews for now. However social media reactions are allowed and as such a ton of them have just gone online in the last 24 hours. I would not normally cover every movie’s social media reactions. However give all the drama, and the missteps around the DCEO recently, I feel like Black Adam is an important movie for the franchise.
I must admit, that had Black Adam come out in a DCEU I was already fully loving I’d be keen to see it. However given what has come before, and how little DC movies I’ve felt were worthy of a theater visit, I’m more inclined to wait and see. I always had a feeling Black Adam will do well at the box office because its rare for a Dwayne Johnson movie not to make bank. That being said, I’m no expert analysis of box office. I leave the business side of Hollywood to Kyle and Manny, who discuss and analyse box office trends regularly on Daily COG. I am really only interested in whether this is a cinema visit, or a wait for streaming for me, because I’m watching it regardless at some point.

So what are people saying so far about Black Adam? Below is merely a selection I have made from hundreds of options and in no way is intended to promote some views over others. I’ll start with Collider.
have seen #BlackAdam. @TheRock is fantastic as Black Adam. He spent 10 years getting ready for this role and he literally kills anyone and everyone in his way and I loved that he didn't pull back on who Black Adam is. Left the theater wanting to see the sequel immediately. pic.twitter.com/oLQc9lg7KR

#BlackAdam is built on some epic, non-stop action. It made me want a sequel with a smoother story immediately.
When it moves, it’s a straight shot of adrenaline. The characters are dope, especially Teth-Adam and Doctor Fate. It’s a bad-ass film. pic.twitter.com/XeMFgcB3OG

#BlackAdam is a game-changer!! This is the #DCComics movie I’ve been waiting for & it did not disappoint. @TheRock is electrifyingly brutal as Black Adam! This is what I wanted Black Adam to be. The action in the film is non-stop & seeing the #JSA on the big screen was a thrill! pic.twitter.com/NigTxsfmd7

#BlackAdam electrifies the millions & millions of DC fans! @TheRock lays the smackdown while adding empathy that makes the character one of the DCEU's most intriguing anti-heroes. A fast paced, action packed ride that delivers on its promise of spectacle & boy, that mid-credit. pic.twitter.com/3yCTr2QlM3

Of course, it’s not for everyone.
We can tweet about #BlackAdam
I didn’t like it. The script is ridiculous. The JSA members don’t get much development at all. The humor isn’t just bad, it’s CRINGE. I liked Rock a lot, and want him in a much better film. Last 30 minutes are a CGI assault. Wasn’t for me… pic.twitter.com/n9qSQTWhsI

Had to go through metal detectors for the Black Adam NY screening. Pity it’s bad – no emotional depth, zero sense of peril for the main character and dull CGI battles. #BlackAdam pic.twitter.com/gUjxHy1oUO

I’ll be interested to read some full reviews for the film when the embargo lifts. If you want to know, full reviews will be scheduled to start appearing from this coming Tuesday as far as I have been informed. I’ll be sticking to the non-spoiler reviews. I get spoiled enough on most movies that I don’t need to go looking for it.
