In a turnaround the latest Barside Buzz is that Blade finally has a working draft and looking for a director to film next year.

In a turnaround the latest Barside Buzz is that Blade finally has a working draft and looking for a director to film next year. This comes on the heels of the news that Blade was officially removed from the November 2025 slot. To be fair, we all knew that November 2025 was never going to happen. Yet, the news did spark fears from many fans and even some rumors that Blade wouldn’t happen till 2028.

I won’t speak to what the truth of all this is, but the latest rumor comes initially from Daniel RPK. Check it out.

Daniel followed this post up with some speculation on when we may see Blade appear. He suggests some slate shifting to come before Secret Wars. The implication though is clear, that Blade will release before Secret Wars closes out the Multiverse Saga. That does shift the narrative on this film.

Secondly, this new information was backed up by Alex P from TCC. Alex had been previously insistent that this one would not happen until post-Secret Wars. However, he concedes he was incorrect.

So, word on the street now is that Blade will make his debut in the Multiverse Saga after all. This also makes more sense when we consider some recent rumors that the Midnight Suns movie was being fast tracked to hit post-Secret Wars.

In the meantime, as always take all rumors with a pinch of salt. However, both these leakers have good hit rates, so take that as you will.

What do you think of this latest Barside Buzz that Blade has a working draft and is looking for a director to film next year? As always, leave any thoughts down below in the usual spot.
