This will surprise no one, but Blade is no longer coming in 2025, no new date has been set and we have some rumors why to cover also. First of all let’s start with the facts, as reported by Deadline.
‘In what comes as no surprise, Marvel Studios’ Blade won’t be coming out on Nov. 7, 2025, rather Disney is opening 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands.’
Of course with no new date given, Blade falls into the pattern of indefinite delay. However, I don’t think the fans who predicted it would get cancelled are right either. It was not that long ago we had an update from Kevin Feige and he said it was still in development. That being said, I think we all knew there was no way this could happen and be ready for November of next year.
There are some dates for unannounced Marvel films, but we are looking at 2028 for those. Truth is though, it seems highly unlikely that Blade could happen prior to the next Avengers movies. We know Doomsday begins filming in Spring, then we have Spider-Man 4 and probably Doctor Strange 3, and then it’s Secret Wars and the end of the Multiverse.

That leads us to the Barside Buzz section of this story. Alex P from TCC says the reason Blade is being held back, alongside both Armor Wars and Nova, is because their stories are not related to the Multiverse. Alex says Marvel are only dealing with the Multiversal story from here on out until the end of Secret Wars. Therefore Blade, and the other two projects mentioned above need to fall in after Secret Wars.
Alex also later reworded this post below to explain he didn’t mean new movies being put in their place. Just that if it’s not part of Multiverse saga then it’s been pushed till after Secret Wars.
The real reason why #Blade isn’t getting done is because the story is disconnected from the rest of the Multiverse Saga. Same goes for Armor Wars, Nova, etc. It’s not that they’re not getting made, they’re getting pushed to make room for Multiversal stories.

Of all three mentioned by Alex, the only one I could see maybe not happening is Armor Wars. That’s simply based on the fact that Don Cheadle seems to not know what is happening. Also, we have some rumors that parts of Armor Wars are being retooled for other projects. We should never believe all rumors of course. However, I do think both Blade and Nova will arrive eventually.
