Who can a person turn to if a maniac plans to kill you in the middle of the desert? Especially if that maniac is a law enforcement officer.

In the survival thriller Blood Star, a young woman must escape from a demented sheriff in the middle of nowhere.

The film stars Britni Camacho (I’m a Virgo, The Rookie), John Schwab (The Queen’s Gambit, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Sydney Brumfield (Portrait of God, Storytime), Travis Lincoln Cox (The Gunfighter, Back to Awesome), Felix Merback (When It Rains in LA, The Twisted Doll), and Wyomi Reed (Parable, Quiet). Lawrence Jacomelli directed the movie from the screenplay written by Jacomelli, George Kelly, and Victoria Hinks Taylor.

A young woman, is driving through the desert alone, when she is drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse with a psychopathic Sheriff. The chase escalates to deadly levels, and she must use her street smarts to turn the tables against him.

Blood Star will premiere in the United Kingdom at Grimmfest on Sunday, October 6. It will be available for home release on Monday, October 7.
