Thor certainly has gone on one hell of a journey. I mean, if you look back on any one of the main characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, they’ve all gone incredibly far in their respective arcs, but Thor has certainly gone through the most. He’s not only gone from one end of the galaxy to another, but he’s lost the most out of everyone. He lost his mother, his father, his brother, his planet, and then half his kingdom.
It’s a lot for any Joe Schmoe to go through, and when we last saw Thor, he was hopping in a spaceship with the Guardians of the Galaxy to go on whatever adventure they had planned. But does Hemsworth want to actually continue making these movies?

“I’d still love to do more, to be honest,” he told Variety in a recent interview. But, he sadly doesn’t know what the future holds. “And I don’t know what the plan is. I feel like we’ve opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go. But I’ll use that in other places and other characters if it’s the end here.”
Honestly, it makes sense that Hemsworth would be okay with using some of his ideas in other films, but I can’t imagine a world where Marvel Studios would neglect one of their most popular characters just when he hits his stride. If there’s one thing Marvel Studios has done a great job of, it’s capitalizing on their characters through multiple films, and the only way I can see this changing is if they have some sort of salary dispute with Hemsworth.
