In the vast world of books, we can imagine all kinds of worlds and creatures. There isn’t really a limit to where the pages of a good book can take us. Sometimes these characters can captivate readers enough to be able to be passed down from one generation to the next. Such is the case of Clifford the Big Red Dog. He has been around since the early 60s. Now this week, he will be making his feature big-screen debut.
But bringing Clifford the Big Red Dog to the big screen could be quite the challenge. First of all, the dog is traditionally bright red. Next up, is the size of the dog. Its giant larger than life appearance makes it a challenge to put in any live-action environment. For this feature film from Paramount Pictures, they created a giant puppy that will hopefully satisfy audiences as they are introduced to Clifford in a live-action setting.

Here is the synopsis for Clifford the Big Red Dog
When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!
