Marvel has revealed that despite some speculation Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 has been greenlit, whilst star Vincent D’Onofrio hypes Season 2. There was some talk in the industry that whilst everyone hoped for a Season 3 of Born Again, it was not yet a done deal as it were. However, speaking with IGN this week Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum confirmed Season 3 is a go.
“In terms of Daredevil, yeah, we are greenlit for Season 3 and we start shooting next year,” Winderbaum said.
Nerves appeared after lead star Charlie Cox called Season 2 the final season. Though he later clarified, as did co-star D’Onofrio, that there was still a good chance of further seasons. Now we know Season 2 is at least not the end of the rebooted series. Whether we get anything more, may depend on how Season 2 is received.
Season 1 was a strange one. Much of what was shot was rejigged completely with new showrunners and directors. However, you could still see some of the joins and some of that previous work was jarring. That being said, the one episode left untouched, which was a standalone, was my favourite of Season 1.

As for Season 2, D’Onofrio reacted to this Season 3 news on social media. However, his post was focused on hyping what he says is a great second Season of the show which is currently in post for release next year.
2 is complete. 2 is quite something.

I guess how Season 3 goes kinda depends on how Season 2 performs. Will this be a three and done series at Marvel? Or, could they just start a new series called Daredevil (Insert Subtitle) with a new story after that point?
We shall find out in due course. For now, we await Season 2 in 2026 and then Season 3 in 2027.
