There has been many rumors that Charlie Cox will appear as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man 3. Now we have a report that says Marvel are looking to a Daredevil reboot, but with Charlie Cox still playing Murdock. The information comes from insider Daniel Richtman’s Patreon. All he says he’s heard is that after his appearance in Spider-Man 3, Marvel will essentially reboot Daredevil into their own thing. However in a move that might keep fans happy, Charlie Cox will still be playing Daredevil. One would assume this grace would also pass to Vincent D’Onofrio as Marvel would be crazy to let him off the hook now?

There is no word on whether the likes of Foggy or Karen would make a comeback. However the idea of a complete reboot (one assumes using the Multiverse), might indicate that not everyone would return. This might not please fans of Daredevil who had hoped to see the story of Bullseye come to it’s conclusion in a fourth Season.

For now, this is all just rumor, however I feel like Cox will be in Spider-Man 3. There are some reports that say Cox has already finished filming his scenes for the movie which must not have been major. We also have Kevin Feige teasing a future for the Netflix characters whilst being very quiet about any potential rumors. I just have the feeling that the story of Murdock in Spider-Man 3 is on the money, maybe I’ll be proved wrong? I’m less sure about this rumor that Daredevil will get a complete reboot with the same star. at the same time, I have no reason to doubt this information.

Frankly it just seems far easier for Marvel to accept the Netflix shows as canon and choose to carry on those stories in a non R-rated way? However there could be several factors I am not seeing which is pulling Marvel in the reboot direction? I guess with this story w are going to have to wait and see. However, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of Matt Murdock, eventually.
