David Henrie and Lorenzo James Henrie tried to capture the coming-of-age teen comedy films that we grew to love with This Is The Year.
This film captured the essence that was once popularized by the late director and writer John Hughes. It was wildly funny that makes you want to cheer on the protagonist to get the girl in the end.
Here’s a brief synopsis of the film:
In a last-ditch effort to win over the girl of his dreams, a nerdy high school senior and his best friends embark on a road trip to see their favorite band at the biggest music festival of the year.
The film stars Lorenzo James Henrie (Fear the Walking Dead), Vanessa Marano (Switched at Birth), Bug Hall (The Little Rascals), Greg Sulkin (Runaways), David Henrie (Wizards of Waverly Place), and Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm). David Henrie makes his feature film directorial debut from a script he wrote with Sienna Aquilini and Bug Hall. Selena Gomez is an executive producer for the movie.
