The DC Spotlight for the week of March 4th, 2026 arrives a little later than usual as Jace returns from a work conference to break down a smaller slate of ten DC titles alongside Rocky, although the shops were packed thanks to a massive wave of reprints for Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman. The episode kicks off with thoughts on Absolute Flash #12 as Jeff Lemire wraps the first year of Wally West’s story, followed by a standout issue of Absolute Superman #17 from Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra that reinforces why the title continues to be one of the strongest books in the Absolute line. The guys also dive into Batman #7 as Matt Fraction introduces a very different take on the Joker, discuss the improving momentum of Batman/Static Beyond #4, debate the direction of Cassandra Cain’s powers in Batgirl #17, and praise the continued brilliance of James Tynion IV and Alvaro Martinez Bueno on Nice House by the Sea #8. On the DC All-In side, JSA #17 continues Year One, Chapter Five, and the conversation also touches on the issue’s backup, “The Search for the Spectre” Prelude Part One, with Stargirl and Atom Smasher rejoining the action ahead of what might be the more exciting next phase for the book. Other titles covered include Poison Ivy #42 with Pamela Isley now serving as mayor of Gotham, the Elseworlds story Batman/Green Arrow: The Question – Arcadia #3 with a surprising Batman vs Green Arrow Battle and the finale of Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson’s event series DC KO #5, which brings the Omega Tournament to a close while setting the stage for what may be an “Absolute Crisis” in the future. As always, the episode wraps up with the hosts’ full weekly rankings and a rundown of notable DC collected editions and reprints hitting stores
