DC Studios Rumors: V For Vendetta Loses Writer – Poison Ivy Series – More Lantern’s Reactions

A DC Studios focused rumor roundup today including V for Vendetta loses its writer, a Poison Ivy series in development and more Lanterns reactions. The information today all comes from Jeff Sneider on the latest The Hot Mic episode.

Jeff says,

Pete Jackson did turn in a period-themed piece for V for Vendetta, but it wasn’t the take HBO’s looking for. However, there’s still desire to redevelop the project with another writer as HBO wants a modern version of the story.

He then goes on to say again and confirm other rumors, that there is a Poison Ivy series in development within the ReevesVerse [The Batman, The Penguin].

Finally, Sneider confirms rumors that the first four episodes have been shared for Lanterns and so far so good. The worst reaction he’s heard still said it was okay.

The Lanterns praise is something we have reported on below as like Sneider we heard it was the first four episodes only. Still, we will as always judge it upon release. As for Poison Ivy, it is a rumor I’ve heard but I was never quite sure whether it would go anywhere. We have heard recently that it’s unlikely we will get a Penguin Season 2, so hopefully this ‘Poison Ivy’ series can be as good as Penguin was and I’ll be happy.

What do you think of these latest rumors around DC Studios? As always, leave any thoughts below.
