Marvel news as Ed Bernero is the showrunner of Marvel’s Nova series, plus the directors revealed for Sony’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Let’s begin with the MCU news initially. A report from Deadline says that Marvel’s Nova series on Disney+ will be led by Ed Bernero. Check it out.
‘There has been a major development on Marvel‘s ‘Nova‘ in the works for Disney+. Former Criminal Minds showrunner Ed Bernero has come on board as a writer and showrunner on the series project, which centers on Richard Rider aka Nova.’
‘Bernero replaces Moon Knight scribe Sabir Pirzada, who was originally tapped as writer when the project was first put into development two and a half years ago. At the time, it was unclear whether it would be developed as a feature film or a limited series; Nova has since taken a series direction.’

Meanwhile another report from Deadline names the directors of Sony’s animated trilogy capper Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
‘The final film in Sony Animation’s Spider-Verse trilogy has found its directors as Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson have been set to helm Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.’
“We have had the immense privilege of being part of Miles’ journey from the very beginning, and directing the conclusion to his story is beyond exciting,” said Persichetti and Thompson. “The creativity and care poured into every minute of this project has been truly inspiring. We have crafted what we feel is a very satisfying ending, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it – we’re bringing everything we’ve got!”
‘Returning as producers are Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal and Avi Arad, with Jinko Gotoh joining the team as producer. Aditya Sood and Christina Steinberg are executive producing. Jessica Berri serves as co-producer. Lord and Miller penned the script for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse with David Callaham.’
