This week was the premiere of Nickelodeon’s Face’s Music Party. The beloved 90’s Nick Jr. mascot, Face is back to inspire and entertain a new generation of kids. This brand-new music variety show combines animation and live-action. This will feature a reimagined face that is voiced by the talented Cedric Williams. He will serve as the host and VJ, playing modern pop hits and revamped nursery school classics. The series is part of the ongoing “Music Mondays” themed preschool programming block that starts at 11 a.m. on Nickelodeon.
Face first debuted back in September of 1994, on Nick Jr. and served as the animated host and mascot of Nickelodeon’s preschool programming block for over ten years. If you grew up in the 90s then you remember how he had show intros, musical shorts, bumpers, and interstitials. What made him really cool was his ability to appear almost anywhere and have an endless change of colors, voices, and expressions. I personally liked how he took over your entire screen and as a kid could even imagine that he was an actual character in your house.

With the return of Face, in Face’s Music Party, LRM Online‘s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Cedric Williams. Before lending his voice to this character he was also a voice actor in several animes including Hunter X Hunter and The Promised Neverland. From a young age, he knew he wanted to be a voice actor as he watched one of his favorite Nickelodeon shows, Spongebob Squarepants. He shares with us what it means to be part of a brand that he had followed as a child. As well as what we can expect from Face as well as his new show! It was a fun conversation that you can check out down below!
