Fantastic Four Sequel Moving Ahead With Shakman And Sadie Sink’s Role In Spider-Man | Barside Buzz

A Fantastic Four: First Steps sequel is moving ahead with Matt Shakman at the helm, plus Sadie Sink’s rumored role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. That’s the latest Marvel Barside Buzz to round up this week. The first story comes from one of our regular insiders, Jeff Sneider.

As per TheInSneider.com, Jeff says he’s heard a sequel is already moving ahead to The Fantastic Four: First Steps and that director Matt Shakman is inline to helm this one also. The idea being that once these characters have been established in the next two Avengers movies, a sequel will probably track better among casual fans. Though, don’t expect this to happen until whatever the next phase is after this one.

I’ve STILL not seen The Fantastic Four: First Steps to my shame due to life issues. However, I do plan to finally watch it this weekend and once I do I’ll definitely review it next week on here.

Second up we have a rumored identity for Sadie Sink’s character in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Kristian Harloff has heard that Sink is playing none other than Gwen Stacy?

Harloff’s words were, a “pretty good guarantee” that Sink was playing Gwen.

Not especially surprising for the MCU’s Spider-Man to bring in Gwen after already introducing MJ. However, MJ is still around and actress Zendaya was spotted alongside lead star and fiancé Tom Holland.

The person who took the pictures I’ve heard said Zendaya wasn’t actually involved in the filming of Peter at his Aunt May’s grave. However, though maybe a smaller role this time we know Zendaya is in the film.

So, what do you think of this Barside Buzz around Fantastic Four‘s sequel and Gwen Stacy in Brand New Day? What do you make of the latest set phot from Glasgow’s shoot? Thoughts below.
