Marvel’s First Family is looking ahead and building toward a bold new tomorrow. Following a harrowing encounter with the Invincible Woman, a dark alternate version of Sue Storm, the Fantastic Four are ready to turn the page and reimagine the future in FANTASTIC FOUR #11, on sale this May.
Written by acclaimed series writer Ryan North with art by rising star Patrick Boutin (Ultimate Universe: Two Years In), Fantastic Four #11 serves as an epilogue to the recently launched “Invincible Woman” arc while laying the groundwork for the return of one of the team’s most ambitious concepts: The Future Foundation.
Originally introduced during Jonathan Hickman’s celebrated run, The Future Foundation brought together young scientific minds determined to solve the world’s biggest problems and push humanity forward. Now, the Fantastic Four are reviving that vision but as North teases, this new iteration will take a very different approach.
With the Invincible Woman defeated, new questions loom large. The Fantastic Four may be united in purpose, but they can’t agree on what the future should actually look like. Complicating matters even further, Doctor Doom’s advanced technology is beginning to spread across the world, falling into the hands of low-level criminals utterly unprepared for its destructive potential. Add in the resurfacing of a long dormant A.I.M. scheme and the bombastic return of Crimesaurus Rex, and Marvel’s First Family finds itself pulled in multiple directions at once.

“This is our first really big story in the run contrasting with the usual single issues and of course, bringing a story like that in for a landing is really satisfying,” North shared. “I think it leaves Sue in a really interesting place. And of course, the Fantastic Four have encountered different versions of what a new Future Foundation could look like and what they land on is exciting.”

As if that weren’t enough, Fantastic Four #11 also includes a special bonus story by award-winning writer and artist Stan Sakai, creator of Usagi Yojimbo. Sakai delivers a memorable clash between the Fantastic Four and one of their most iconic foes: Mole Man.
Collectors will have plenty to choose from, with a main cover by Humberto Ramos, a Foil Variant Cover by Ben Su, and additional variant covers by Simone Bianchi, Andrea Sorrentino, and Rickie Yagawa.
Fans can pick up FANTASTIC FOUR #7, Part Two of “The Invincible Woman,” now, and preorder upcoming issues, including this pivotal May release, at their local comic shop.
