Back when production first started on Amazon Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time adaptation, they released a video that showed off the table read for the pilot episode. It gave fans first insight into what was to come for the show, and highlighted a few different cast members. Some eagle-eyed viewers out there noticed a particular shot of the video showed what looked like Michael McElhatton.
For those who don’t know, McElhatton is known for bringing the slimy Roose Bolton to the small screen in HBO’s Game of Thrones. While it was hard to see in the shot if it was indeed him, many fans claimed it was, and speculation commenced on who he’d be playing. Now, Amazon has confirmed in a new tweet that the figure in the video was indeed him.

McElhatton will be playing the role of Tam Al’Thor, who resident LRM Wheel of Time reader Cam Clark describes as “a Shepherd and Ex soldier. A swordsman but a gentle widower who runs a remote farm with his son Rand and is one of the elders of the local village of Two Rivers.”
