When news broke that DC was developing a live-action series adaptation of its TEEN TITANS for TNT, many fans got understandably excited. It was going to be titled TITANS, and expectations were high. And then…TNT axed it. Ever since, folks have wondered if the series had a chance of seeing the light of day or if- in fact- it was going to end up like NBC’s aborted WONDER WOMAN show.
Now, though, it would appear we have an answer to that question. Sort of. DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns was asked about the fate of the series. Here’s what he told TV Line:
“We [at DC] have known about [Turner nixing TITANS] for months and months and months. That’s not new news to us. We have plans for TITANS. It’s a huge piece of DC and we have plans.”
Interesting.
Could they, perhaps, take a page out of Marvel’s book and try to link up with one of the streaming networks? I’m sure Amazon would take a meeting with DC about such a thing, but I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
Are you intrigued? Or were you fine with TITANS falling off the slate?
