The A Quiet Place writers have been at the filmmaking game for some time now, but it’s only with that movie that they really seem to have hit the next level in terms of their profile. Now, their next project, Haunt, sees them at the helm, and though it’s not for the first time, it is for the first time at such a high level).

Admittedly, the trailer for Haunt doesn’t quite make everything clear. From the looks, they enter some kind of haunted house on Halloween, only for things to go horribly wrong as their worst nightmares are realized. Add in Eli Roth’s name, and I think some violent gore is inevitable.

Below is the official synopsis for Haunt:

“On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an “extreme” haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some monsters are real.”
