After this weekend’s opening of Black Adam, Henry Cavill officially announces his return as Superman in more projects to come. Since the leaked footage was revealed we have known that Superman appears in a post-credit scene of Black Adam and that Cavill reprises his role. However all the buzz since then has been that Cavill doesn’t yet have a contract for more projects, there is however a willingness from DC to make it happen, where before there was not.
Now Cavill has made it clear he is back on Instagram and teases more exciting things to come.
Cavill said he wanted to wait for the weekend to be over, and for people to see Black Adam. However he shows an image of himself in that movies and says,
“A very small taste of what’s to come my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded.”

I know only two people who will be angry at this news and that’s Toby Emmerich and Walter Hamada, both reportedly did not want Cavill back whatsoever. On a recent video from The Post-Geek Singularity, Robservations, the host says they’ve heard that Toby Emmerich classified Cavill as persona non grata after a disagreement about a cameo appearance back in his tenure as DC boss.
Since then we’ve heard many reports that Walter Hamada was dead against Cavill’s return and Dwayne Johnson and his rep just went behind Hamada’s back to make it happen anyway. A few days later we find out Hamada is out. So this all appears genuine. Also with the Emmerich story, Robservations host Robert Meyer Burnett is not one for spreading wild rumors.
So someone with sense finally realized that Henry Cavill as Superman was simply more popular than any of the clowns who were running DC. What do you think as Henry Cavill officially announces his return as Superman in more projects to come? Thoughts below as always.
