The Czech Republic has been receiving a high amount of filming again now that Covid-19 infection numbers have been decreasing. The 2 biggest projects filmed in the Czech Republic ever are The Wheel of Time, from Amazon and Sony, and Carnival Row, from Amazon and Legendary TV.

Wheel of Time is based on the best-selling book series by Robert Jordan. Wheel of Time just released a 6-second teaser so you might want to take a look at the books to get an idea of what it’s about or cheat and find a YouTuber who has reviewed the books spoiler-free. I’ll admit, I’ve done that a few times. They are finishing up shooting season 1 and will immediately shoot season 2 immediately after.

What I’m Looking Forward to the Most

The first season of Carnival Row came out in the fall of 2019, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne. With Covid-19 settling down and things getting back to a new normal, we will finally be getting season 2 soon. The series is filled with mythological creatures who have immigrated to the Burgue struggling to coexist with the humans after they invaded their lands. There is no release date set for season 2 so you have time to give season 1 a try if you haven’t seen it yet.

However Wheel of Time could be huge, so who knows?
