A Hogwarts Legacy sequel has been confirmed as in development and it should connect with the upcoming HBO reboot of the franchise. The original Hogwarts Legacy game was a huge success and though I’ve not played it, my friends who have said it was great. I always assumed a sequel would happen and it looks like that’s the case.
As per Variety;
‘On the heels of Warner Bros. Games releasing “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” Tuesday, Warner Bros. Discovery’s chief financial officer has confirmed that a more direct sequel to 2023’s hit Wizarding World game “Hogwarts Legacy” is a goal for the team moving forward.’
“Obviously, a successor to ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road,” WBD CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels said during an interview at Bank of America’s 2024 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference Wednesday. “So there is certainly a significant growth contribution from that [games] business in our strategic outlook here.”
Now some outlooks are reporting more than I see here in this article. Therefore has this been edited since? Here’s what GameFragger reported for the same story, as additional quotes you won’t now find in link above.

‘With the Hogwarts Legacy sequel, Warner Bros. is said to be “coordinating some of the big-picture storytelling elements… with storylines that will play out in the Harry Potter HBO series coming from Warner Bros. Television.”
I never saw this myself, so I cannot comment it was definitely there originally.
