According to the man himself, Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team are working on the actions scenes of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Additionally in this article we share some words of praise from Tenoch Huerta for his Avengers: Doomsday co-star Vanessa Kirby.

First though, Brand New Day is currently filming down at Pinewood Studios in London. In a recent interview with Hong Kong outlet HK01, Chan says there was surprise when he showed up on set to check up on his employees,

“My Jackie Chan Stunt Team is busy filming ‘Spider-Man’. I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director was quite surprised to see me. I made sure he understood that they are part of my team.”

(Or at least, that’s what Google Translate tells me.)

The director being of course Destin Daniel Cretton, whom I’m sure recognised Chan immediately like the rest of us would. I guess when you hire the Jackie Chan Stunt Team You’re not necessarily expecting Chan himself to show up. However, it’s probably also a good sign that Chan keeps an eye on the company representing his name.

It could be very interesting to see what this stunt team comes up with for a superpowered characters such as Spider-Man, Scorpion etc.

Now onto Avengers: Doomsday and in a recent interview with La Resolana, Tenoch Huerta (Namor) fielded a lot of questions about Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman. It’s obvious why to comic book fans. In the comics Namor was obsessed with Sue Richards (Storm), even kidnapping her.

Huerta and Kirby both appear in Doomsday and from Huerta’s comments, we van perhaps guess they have some scenes together.

In the interview below, again thanks to some online translation Huerta describes Kirby as,

“A great and spectacular co-worker.”

Now that could just be pure politeness and they did not actual film any scenes together. However, you’d imagine the Russos would be thinking these two have to be together on screen at some point.  Maybe even hinting towards some future post-Secret Wars romantic tensions?
