Jamie Lee Curtis Announces Theater/Peacock Halloween Ends Release

Laurie Strode will make her last stand in Halloween Ends this October. The haunting and bloody journey that started all the way back to the John Carpenter horror classic will finally come to an end. The film promises that only one of the two will survive the film.

This week, Jamie Lee Curtis, took to social media to announce that on October 14, 2022, Halloween Ends will premiere in theaters and streaming only on Peacock. Check it out below!

As explained above, Universal Pictures felt that Halloween Kills did well enough on both platforms for them to do it again for Halloween Ends. In a world that sees some studios going straight to streaming, I like that at least the film gives audiences the option to see it in theaters. Fans of the franchise that want to see how this story concludes, will flock to theaters and enjoy this classic slasher on the biggest screen possible.

It will be interesting to see if now in a more “normal” environment this film will do better than the previous one. Or if the fact that it’s supposed to be the final chapter will also factor in being a bigger draw.

Here is the synopsis for Halloween Ends from Universal Pictures

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The Hardy Boys, Virgin River), is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting. It ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

Halloween Ends is directed by David Gordon Green. Also returns co-stars Will Patton as Officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, and James Jude Courtney as The Shape.

Either in theaters or on Peacock don’t miss out on October 14, 2022.
